Hi everyone. Can someone tell me how old should be the female betta to breed her ? Thanks

think you've palced this in the wrong forum.

i was told 9 - 12 months, but dont quote me on that though.

you can breed from 4 months up but i heard that she will live better and have better qualtiy of live if you wait till 6-8 months

Hi

Like "x0x.love.you.x0x" says, from 4 months as long as she is a big and healthy enough. You also dont really want to breed females much over a year old.

What type you gonna breed?

thease is not my betta but it looks same like thease i heve mail bettas more than 1 year but im still learning, i need to know everything about breeding befoure i breed them.

That's called a Veil Tail Betta. I would do as much research as you can before you start. We spent a good few months reading up and asking as many questions as possible before we started.

It's usually advised not to breed once over a year old if your Betta is shop bought, as he could have been quite old when you got him. Also think about what you would do with all the babies. Have you got a shop nearby that would take them from you?

here y can bye only old males, he is building buble nets that is why i think that he wants to breed (sorry about bad english)

He's probably quite happy then :D . Lots of males will build nests even with no female around so it doesn't necessarily mean that they want to. They are just doing what comes natural.
