Rae, if you've never kept Bettas before it's really not a good idea to start thinking about breeding - for a good many many months. So until you've read all you can read an research about keeping Bettas - their life, behaviour and requirements, I suggest not thinking about breeding.

Please take some time to read the pinned topics - they will almost certainly answer the vast majority of questions you might have.

i have kept b4 but i did not put gravel or plants.I just live it there with food of course.i tried to spawn both of them but the male ended up eating the eggs.so im just checking.
