my bettas wont eat freeze dried bloodworms, they eat the heck out of pellets, i have read in some topics that they will get used to them, its just that they are not used to bloodworms yet, how should i get them to get used to them? should i not try to feed anything except the worms for a hot minute? i mean i want them to have a variety of foods but all they eat are the pellets, even tried the bettamin tropical medely, no luck...thanx a lot

Mine plays with the freeze dried tubifex worms. Guess he does not like them much.

Freeze-dried bloodworms are not very good for them, and many don't like them.

Get some frozen, and he'll probably eat it.

where could i buy frozen at? the closest pet store from here is like 50 miles away, if not more haha i thought when ppl said frozen, they meant freeze dried...hmm and why isnt it good for them? thanx a mil

I'd try pellets. They seemed to work for me.....Well, for one of them...

i use pellets, but i would rather them have a variety...i mean how would u feel if u had pizza for the rest of your life and nothing else, well i could prolly do that with out complaining much so bad example haha

I either use pellets (for 11 of my 12 bettas) or frozen brine shrimp (for my ONE picky boy... grrr). That or they LOVE live brine. They're not so sure at first then they're like, HEY, these taste GOOD! *enter betta hunting spree here* It's hilarious.

Oh, you could try a bait shop. They'd most likely have some type of frozen foods. Or you can just stick to good, ol pellets.

Freezedried foods can damage their digestive systems if you feed them too often.. that's what's wrong with them. They're also not very nutritious... kinda like betta junk food ;)
As has been mentioned, I'd suggest tying to find some frozen bloodworms. All but one of my bettas love them, and he just refuses to try them or he'd probably like them too

If your bettas will eat pellets, I'd stick with them as their staple. Two of my three eat those as their staple diet. The third is finicky and will only eat frozen blood worms and peas, which are treates for the others.

How about taking a cooler with you to the pet store? That should keep them pretty solid until you get home. Just make sure it is your last stop.

2 of my bettas eat fresh frozen blood worms and 1 eats betta flakes. None of them like freeze dried worms. they all like peas lol
