Thanks. Synnir - I don't know how everyone gets such good photos. I can't seem to get ones that aren't blurry. I will try though of course!

Thanks FishEnthusiast - I am crossing my fingers too. He is supposed to get to the transshipper in US on Sunday night. Then she will ship him out the next day if I want, but she said Express Mail from Colorado to Pennsylvania isn't overnight, it will be 2 days, so I worry about that. I might have her wait a day or 2 to ship him so he can recover from the first shipping and so I can be home waiting the day he gets here and can get him right out of the box and into his new home.

Woo hoo! He is finally here!
He is a little lightened in color, from stress probably but he is swimming around checking out his new home. (an Aqua-Tech 5). I got him set up with a bunch of live plants and an IAL for good measure.
Hopefully when he settles in I'll get a face shot of him. He is so cute!


Oh yeah, and I did name him "Jagger", LOL.

Its great that you won him. My mom wont let me bid on fish as she says its stupid. =( Only vt mutts from the pet store.

I have a pet store near here that sells crowntail males for the same price as vt males, only $2.99. Is there only one LFS near you?

I am so glad he arrived safe and sound. Taking pictures of my fish is very hard too. I have been trying to get a good pic of one of my females for weeks and I can't do it. I have a camera that pretty much does everything for me and I still can't get her to sit still long enough to get a good picture. )

Jagger is truly gorgeous. There is something so stunning aboutr Bettas in general but the white lips are so unusual! Congrats. Is he still settling in alright? I often put my fish in a medium sized breeding tank that sits inside the main tank for taking pictures and then release them after taking the photo....that seems to work well as long as you take care not to stress them out too much.

Since my fish won't sit still for a photo, I've started aiming ahead of them, and by the time the camera clicks, the fish has swum (swam? swimmed? somthing...moved!) into focus. Seems to help some with getting better photos.

xxSarahxx-Thanks for the suggestions. I actually don't breed them so I don't have a spare tank to put them in but I might get a small fish bowl or something to use. He is settling in great.

Booboo puppy- Sounds like a plan, LOL. I will try that. I am going to try to take pics tomo.

Naughtygirlrlw- I have a VT mutt too and he is just as loved as my crowntail male and this new fish, LOL. They're all georgeous to me, no matter the tail type.
