Yikes, I underestimated my little female Betta. I cooked up and fed her a tiny bit of pea. Apparently it was too big for her so she carried it around in her mouth. I had planned to change part of her water after she finished eating. . .so, I waited for her to drop the pea, with syphen in hand. . .had another smaller pea bite waiting for her. She dropped the pea, and swam away, so I quickly syphened the pea. She turned around and I kid you not, WATCHED the pea moved up the tube and she swam over and hopped into the syphen chasing after the pea! Never thought that would happen. So I quickly disattached the lower part and she plopped down into the water. She was then fed a smaller bit.
She is the type of Betta, I can forsee now, that will jump out of the water given the chance. I covered the top of her home with a book about kittens! lol
