Betta v Guppy

I have an empty 13 gal (23"l x 11.5"w x 11.5"d)
I have been looking at gupies and also bettas.
I'd like to get a black betta at some point but
right now I can't decide on wether to go for guppies a betta or both?

You choose for me.
I have done my research on both so I know what to expect but I just can't decide

pshh....betta's...no doubt.

just love the crown tail, clown tail, comb tail, double tail, delta, super delta, half moon, viel tail, thing....so many choices! then you got the butterfly, marble, bi-color, single color, bi-color butterfly, metalics....

the whole attitude that they have is a plus.

Get a Betta- they deserve a nice home after living in such small containers.

i havnt got any guppies but i have a betta and shes luvly.all fish are luvly though

Go with bettas. They're perty..

plus guppies go at it like mice in a wool sock...

I also say Bettas, they are more hardy then Guppies. You could do what wrs said and divide the tank or have several female Bettas and one male. Just remember that male Bettas don't get along with Fancy Guppies (most of the time anyway)
