yeah, clown loaches reach between 8 & 12 inches in length--too big!

but i actually think that if you were willing to keep just the betta and kuhli loaches, you'd be ok. the thing to remember about khulis is that they are very thin fish and don't create nearly as much waste as a fish of comparative length. i think you'd be fine with no more than 4 khulis and 1 betta (provided that is all you have in the 10g)

Otos are pretty delicate and are hard to keep alive in a tank that's been established less than six months. If your betta doesn't eat them ghost shrimp are good bottom cleaners and a lot of fun to watch, too.
