Hi All,

I already have a large Malawi set up and a community tropical tank so I dont want anything too large. I was just wondering what kind of size tank for one male people would advise? I was thinking of something like an aquaone 320.

Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for reply on my other post. UM i would go for 50 litres for something that is quite small. But i would not house chichlids in that tank, maybe some smaller fish might do well in 50 litres.

for my betta i have 30l

i keep my male betta in an AquaOne 320 - seems perfect so wouldnt imagine you having any problems with that setup. just make sure the filter doesnt have a fast flow - fast flow in cube tanks can make a bit of a whirlpool. and bettas dont like too much flow anyway.

No I wouldnt ever put my Cichlids in something that small! Just trying to work out what size tank for a male Betta (and what size tank wont get me in trouble with the boss! aka the wife to be!)

Hi. What tank size have you decided on? And if you can, can you get us a picture of your setup?

People have happily kept bettas in 1 gal tanks and up, ofc the bigger the better but it depends on your requirements and how much time you want to put in. The smaller the tank the more often the water needs changing and also the more problems you could have with the betta getting stressed by the filter.

Would love to see pictures when you are up and running :)
