Tank is looking great, good job

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
I saw mossballs at my LFS so I'm definetely going to pick them up next time I swing by. I also saw IAL (to my surprise) at my LFS.
So far, I have some Aqueon betta pellets. I don't know how good quality these are. Here's the nutritional analysis on the bottle:
Minimum Crude Protein 38%
Minimum Crude Fat 7%
Maximum Crude Fiber 7%
As for live food, I'm thinking brine shrimp, tubifex, or blood worms. Which one do your bettas love the most?
Another concern that I have is feeding once I have the tank stocked. Be it snails, shirmp, or even pygmy cories, I'm afraid the betta will eat it all and his tankmates won't get anything. Perhaps I'll wait until I see algae growth before I stock nerites or amano shrimp, but what if I get cories? Won't the betta eat the shrimp pellets that I drop for the cories?
Moss Balls are great and I am glad you have managed to source some. I felt I paid way too much at my LFS and bought my last lot from someone on e-bay.
LFS are getting better at stocking items such as IAL's but again I find they charge a lot for them individually so I buy them in bulk on-line. I do like to support the stores and purchase a lot from them, often paying a little more in doing so, however, some things just seem ridiculous and this is when I head on-line. PM me if you want any links.
As well as IAL's, Alder Cones are also a good addition for Bettas.
I am not familiar with the food you have but have had a quick scan of it and mostly people find it sinks too fast for the Betta, so you have to feed a pellet at a time. It also seems to foul the water if it is not eaten according to some. I like the
moist food but this too can sink quickly so care needs to be taken to ensure the Betta gets some.
In respect to live food, I use white mosquito larvae (glass worms), which are the Bettas natural diet. I find these are a "cleaner" live food. They also like Brine Shrimp, but I never use Tubifex and only use frozen (previously thawed) blood worms. There is another one I occasionally feed and I think these were Black Worms, and I feed one at a time with tongs. I tend to purchase the more expensive foods that are in the fridge at the LFS, they are "cleaner" with less dead ones and in fact better economy wise as you do in fact get more in the bags.
See my profile for the variety of foods I use as some of these sink faster so you can ensure your other inhabitants get fed. My Betta girls are the funniest as they sometimes grab the Cory pellets on route to the bottom and parade around with it hanging in their mouth, as if to say, "look what I've got". They soon drop them though and go for other easier options that will fit in their mouths.

So I'm doing some research on amano shrimp, and I've grown quite interested. They will be the first shrimp I own! I've heard they are talented escape artists. Below are some pics of the only gaps in my tank lid for the filter. Sorry these pics aren't terribly exciting.
My main concern is here.

The other side of the gap, much tighter.

What Wildbetta suggests is a good one, with cling film wrap, I have also used a microfibre cloth before to cover the gaps until I got something more permanent. I now have a lid that was on a container that fits over the hole where I think my Amano escaped from. I find this easy to remove and replace when needed.
Looking forward to seeing the Betta in his home.
