A few weeks ago my filter in my betta tank broke, I threw it way (stupid me  ) and planned to get a new one. Well after a few days the tank seemed ok, so I let it be and decided that if the tank was fine without a filter I don't need to get one.
Well two weeks ago the water in the betta's tank was starting to get a little murky ( I think this was the Java Fern's fault because whenever the water temperature drops the Java Fern starts to have white stuff growing on it and it goes everywhere).
I started to panic and decided to move my betta to my 10gal tank, because he is such a aggressive bugger I had to keep him in my large floating fry tank so he would attack my other fish. I covered to bottom on the fry tank with a layer of gravel so he couldn't see the other fish from the bottom as well from the sides.
Funnily enough he seems much more happier in my 10gal than in his old tank. He is blowing bubbles like mad, swimming around the fry tank and flaring once in a while at the other fish. :)
I know I can't keep Flameheart (his name  ) in the floating fry tank in my 10gal. What do I do though? Why does Flameheart love my 10gal *even though he is in the floating fry tank* so much? Is it the water chemicals in there? I'm so very confused... I want my betta to be happy in his own tank... so what should I do? I know I should buy a new filter, mabye I should take away the Java Moss too...I don't know. Can anybody help? :(

i dont understand. he is floating in a tank that is floating in a fry tank? i am confused :S

My betta is inside a large floating fry tank.
A floating fry tank is a miniture tank that you place in a larger one, it dosen't float straight on top of the water but sits under it. When I mean floating I mean that the tank still has a surface to it and is not fully under water...I'm not so good at explaining but that's what it is. Sorry if it's not good enough...

He just likes it because it's exciting and new :) Don't let him out, you'll be sorry. He'll be fine back in his own tank, maybe put his tank by the other tank (after it's fixed) so he can watch some activity.

Ok, thanks Kelly :D
Don't worry I won't let him out...already had bad eperiences, he killed a goldfish & a guppy once...that's why I kept him alone. I guess he likes the exitment of the other fish anyway :)
I'll try and repair his tank as soon as posible...thanks again!
