betta tail question

my betta keeps eating at his tail. i dont know why but he does. It started 1 week ago when We got the 2 girls and the 1 guy. Can that be whats making him eat it, the other fish? Hes all alone in his one tank. I feed him. He ate most of the Comb/crowns off. I put salt in his tank. Will he keep eating it until its gone?

he will keep eating until he becomes unstressed or when he cant reach his tail anymore. i had one guy that did that and no matter what i did, he still chomped on it. eventually he stopped-i dont know why though. maybe add a little extra stresscoat or novaqua? make sure he is warm enough and has some hiding places.

he did have some live plants, but they got all roteen so I took them out. Ill be putting some back in though. Its really warm in there almost 80. Ill add some stress coat as well.
