Betta Sick? Or Just Weird....

Hi im running my aquarium now for about 1,5 month. seems to go well but dotn know what to think about my betta , is it sick or not
this is my first betta and if i look on the internet i read almost everywhere that betta are rxing fishes. 
just hanging there and here. but mine seems to be pretty active ( actually the most active fish in my aquarium 

)
but it also scratches against plants and stuff, now i know ive had a parasite and i treated my fish for this 2 times. 
but still the fish is doing this since beginning. Should this be the parasite or just normal behaviour?

tank does seem to have up and downs with temps. im worried about the temps. want to do something about it 
but i got a valve on my aquarium. is there some way to cool this with the valve closed? or open the valve and use some fans?
or shouldnt this be a problem if it rises to 28 celcius

I'd suggest popping the temp up to 80F Bettas can be lethargic in lower temperatures.
As for the behaviour, this is a new one on me - Im not entirely sure.

thanks for your reply, but 26,6 celcius is already 80F so atm it is almost 80 and in the noon it becomes 82 - 83

does he still eat and swim? his coloration seems fine usually when fish is sick they become pale and lethargic. i do keep my betta on 24-25 CELSIUS and it doesn't show any bad signs and still she is active .

The ammonia is high. It needs to 0ppm or it will start affecting him.
 
Temp rising to 28c is fine, my tanks go up past that on hot days and even when i had betta's there was never a problem. As long as it's not constant

Ammonia of 0.010ppm is not high. That's nearly what all of us have if you have a sensitive enough test to detect it. This amount would show up as 0 on an API liquid test for example.

No, this is not normal behaviour. I presume the fish still have parasites and your treatment did not work. Some meds don't work as intended or you used the wrong meds for the type of parasite.

That's 31-32c not 28c... 28c is the top end of a betta's range. Mine used to rise up to 29/30c for a week or so and my betta's were fine.
 
Betta's do scratch themselves against plants and such. My females used to but there was nothing wrong with them. Fish get itches just like humans do. It they are doing it constantly as in only stopping to eat and have a small swim then there's a problem. If it's only every now and then it could just be an itch.
 
Maybe it was a typo. What happens if it's a typo and they meant 0.1ppm? That would be be classed as high enough to affect the fish. 
 
I don't use API, I use Nutrafin Master Test Kit and I've had much better results with that than I had with the API Master Test Kit.
 
The API was saying I had a constant ammonia of 5ppm

The Nutrafin says 0ppm. The API said my Nitrite was at 2ppm and the NUtrafin says 0ppm. My Nitrate was apparently 20ppm with the API but the Nutrafin says 5ppm.

Does he flick at the plants and other such? Is he the only fish doing it.
No Betta expert, but if he is healthy and given the right conditions he should be quite active.
From your pictures he looks healthy. Mine does much the same, swimming through plants and ornaments, as well as looking for bits of food on the bottom.

This would also be the factor that decides whether it's parasites or not, if he is the only fish doing it. My female betta's used to but no other fish in the tank did. And then now I have one female guppy who does it but none of the other fish do.

Well the Betta does eat well, always the first fish who's eating.
And all my other fish dont scratch against anything. 
I was just concerned about parasites because my tetra's had it 2 weeks ago. 
After an lab research at the fish shop with an tetra they said the parasite was gone.
I've also heard that if the temp is not constant, the greater possibilty  is o get ich. So does anyone have tips for cooling an aquarium with an hood on it?
As i only seen fans that you can set on the edge of the aquarium

Pop water bottles in the freezer, when frozen float them in the tank.
