Ok - this has been on the back burner for ages.
Wetpetz in Chandler was going to host a show in Septmeber.
However, due to a change of ownership, planning was postponed.
It is now going ahead on October 27th/28th.
Will have more details soon re classes, benching in times etc.
Start preparing your beauties now.
Hopefully - Wetpetz will take care of a heap of the organising re certificates etc.
Any international entries sent in will be offered for sale.
Entry fee will be nominal - probably $2-$5 each.
Stay tuned.

Funny you should mention that....i have just got back from Wetpetz today, where i was unable to avoid buying a fighter!! Was talking to Ray about ordering more via Jodie-Lea, will have to make sure i get to the show (if i'm not working) and check out potential new additions to the stable!

I used to go there all the time. but as of a few weeks ago, its no longer there? or has it Temporarily closed down because of the ownership swap over?

nope, it's still there in the Hawkins centre, and is definitely open.....
apparently the website is being sorted out now too, so should be able to check online in a week or two....just checked now, and the website is still the old one, so i guess the updates aren't finished yet. Also, they've got a good special on frozen food currently, so now i've got a freezer with more fish food than people food in it!

awwwk, i also heard that hawkins was closing down, thaught that was kinda impossible. yea they havnt updated theyr web site for aslong as i can remember. my fiance and i used to deal with them alot, he would sell them snail, n i gave them a few of my bettas back in the day when i was breading them, want to get back into it but unfortunantly with work dont have much time for any of my fish any more

Bench in –Saturday 9.00am – 12noon
Judging 2pm-6pmish
Sunday – open to public for viewing.
Presentation of trophies, thanking of judges etc 3.30pm
Benching out 4pm. Purchased fish given to buyers etc
Teardown after 5pm
