Ahh I'm probably being silly but,

My betta wont go near my fingers... He looks at them, sometimes inches closer and then swims away. But I put the end of a crochet hook and he will "bite" or touch that.
He is around 3 days old now, maybe he is still shy.

It will take a good while for him to settle in before he doesn't freak out about new things invading his tank or starts taking food from your hand

Don't worry about him, this is all very new to him!

It's not really something he needs to get used to either tbh- you should keep your hands out of his tank as much as possible to avoid anything like moisturiser, perfume, soap etc. from potentially getting into the water.

Mhm :> Thank you. Yeah I try not to put my hands in too much, I try to get him to follow my finger outside the glass but you're right, he's probably still scared.

Don't worry ;) It can take a good week or more for him to settle in :) Has he stopped flashing?

Great news! ;)
