ok..so yesterday i took the plunge and bought some betta's...i bought 3 females...and was really happy that the guy in the shop had under charged me :D...so i on the way out i saw this red male..which was not reserved...which was unusual for this shop..so i bought him...i put the 4 betta's in my 15 gal together...i know this aint all to clever really...but i realised when i got home how stupid i was to have bought that male aswell.. so i woke up this morning and hes built a MASSIVE bubble nest...and he seems to be chasing away the white and blue females...but leaves the red one to do what she does..he occasionally goes over to her and shows off abit..i didn't want this to happen really. The females are not that big at all...probably only just under an inch. so there not that old...they dont seem to be showing much intrest in the male...so i was wanted to know will he soon get bored of making nests and trying to seduce the female and start to do other things? i considered moving out the two females he chases away...and putting the red female into a jar in the tank...it was kinda cool , and i did consider trying to breed them,...but i dont have a big enough grow out tank or any of the other stuff you need..what should i do?

You are not suppose to put Bettas together unless your purpose is for them to breed.

What you need to do is take that male out of the tank! You should not have a male in with females unless you're breeding (which you want to know what you're doing if you do that) or you're going to end up with dead females (or at least beat up). Males need to be kept seperate from other Bettas, please put him in his own setup.

Get a attitude adjustment because its not like were yelling at you. Were just stating the facts, nothing more.

i never said you were yelling at me...to be honest i wouldn't care if you did...im not gonna lose sleep over some people shouting at me on the internet..i appreciate what your saying and all...but when people tell me what i already know...it kinnda gets to me.

i cant keep betta's like that..its to cold in the UK..i know other people who live in the UK do it...but i think its to cold for them. Ive put him into breeder net for now...although i didn't want to end up keeping them like this.

Umm, its warm enough in the UK at the moment to keep a Betta in an unheated tank. Unless you are far up north.
Buy a large vase or something like that.

not in my house its not...i kept a bowl out for a week that i thought would be good for a betta...and waitied to see if it got hot enough for a betta..it was nowhere near warm enough for one...so its not an option..i could take him back...but i dont wanna send him back to the LFS just for him to be stuck in a tank with barbs again.
