betta playmates

Hey guys, I was wondering if there are any compatable tank mates for my males betta. I want to get an african dwarf frog sicne my friend kept forgs with hers. Also, what kind of snail will keep my tank clean??

i've got white cloud minnows and an octo-something algae eater. they are GREAT with the betta....match made in heaven i even had ghost shrimp too, which he didn't bother any, but i've also heard people say ghost shrimp are bad cuz the betta eats them.

i heard frogs are good too...

i don't know anything about snails though.

Have you ever put dwarfs in a tank with bettas?

cories are good-but always in groups. they get depressed if they are alone.

I actually have 3 Harlequin Rasboras (not listed in sig) in my 5 gallon with my betta. He plays with them all the time. If I had room I would get a group or cories, but it is only a 5 gallon tank.

yeah-i forgot to mention-they should be a rather small species of cory if you get them-unless you have a 10 gal+

WAAAAA those harluquin rasboras are schooling fish and need 20 GAL!

no snails... i no u guys are gunna think im makeing this up but i had an awsome betta onece in like a 2-3 galon tank and i had a snail in there to keep down alge and stuff. the snail was considerably big maybe about twice the size of a quarter. is swear that ####er ate my favorite fish. im not kidding, my fish was happy and healthy just minding his own busyness and 10 minuts later my snail was chowin down on him. he wasnt the smartest betta, he liked hangin out with the snail but honestly who here would expect an apple snail to kill and eat a betta.

im not kidding this rely did happen , dont get a big snail
