please don't steal my idea guys :good:

i was at work thinking over a design i saw stating "bettas deserve better" with a simple design on it. i know at my local craft store, they have buttons you can stick your own design in so i tried out my own design and thought "hey, i could make those cheaper with my own drawing of that"

if i was to make these for you guys, they'd probably be $3-$7 (including shipping) depending on how much the buttons are. i don't want to make money off of these, i just want to spread the word.

so...if anyone's interested, let me know :good:

edit: this is the design. i'm still editing it.

You know, you can go to CafePress.com and make them for free on there. they don't charge you to make them. But for every one sold they take the base price (I think big buttons are $1.50) and then you mark up the product however much you want to make off of each item.

Unless you were just wanting to make them yourself. But my guess is people would be more willing if they could get them off of there and then combine shipping with other items availble instead of paying $3-7 for one button.

Also, by using CafePress, you can also make t-shirts, coffee mugs, messenger bags, etc.

yeah i was on there. i didnt think it would sell alot of things (especially like this). it would probably be cheaper to do it this way (not just for me) since they want part of the price and i'm not trying to make money. i just want enough to pay for the button.

a loooonnnnggggg time ago the buttons at my local craft store were around $1.50 but i assumed they went up along with everything else.

They don't charge you for anything on there. I use it, I know.

If you are selling a button this is how it works.
CafePress has a base price (this is the LOWEST selling price you can have for the button). They (CafePress) get the base price. In the case of buttons, it's $1.50 per button.
You mark up the base price for however much you want to make off of each of them sold. So say you want to make $0.25 for each button sold, you make it so that the button sells for $1.75 instead of the base price $1.50.
You don't owe CafePress anything. They get their full payment out of the base price on the item. And then you get the mark up.

So it would be WAY cheaper for you to do it through CafePress.

But do it how ever you want. Just trying to help. :)

Nice design! ^_^ I know you said you're still editing it, but you might want to put a circle around the bowl with a line going through it (like a no smoking sign). I think it would get the message through more effectively since I don't think a lot of people would take the time to read what it says (especially since that font isn't really something you can read with just a glance). Just an idea. :)

so a simpler font then? i was trying to do something eye-catching. hmm...
i'm not sure how the "no" sign will work. i'll attempt it.

hmm...okay. i'll edit that but i wont get the pins unless anybody wants them. maybe you people in the UK i could email you the page and you could leave it at your LPS by the bettas?
just kidding.

Just out of curiosity did you go to Cafepress with this design? I see it on there. I did a search for BETTA and this same slogan showed up on some shirts, etc.

if you put it on deviantart.com and make it into a print they will sell them as mouse pads buttons and all that other stuff
