Do Betta's have different personalities? People think I'm nuts, But I swear my betta acts like a little dog sometimes...haha. He is VERY friendly- Constantly at side of the tank swimming around, doing little "tricks" to entertain my 2 year old daughter. And when we call his name "Wishy" he will swim out of wherever he is and come to the glass  He even let's me pet him while I'm doing water changes! lol

Do they also have days where they are in a "bad" mood? Yesterday, he was REALLY cranky- ANYTHING that came up to the tank would result in his fins flaring! hahaha

Wishy being a Cranky-gills.....

What is your betta's personality like? I hope I'm not just crazy and imagining that my daughters fish actually HAS a personality...So often you always hear "Oh, it's only a fish...fish don't have personalities or feelings"...Well, they're obviously wrong...I'm not crazy, am I? LOL

(PS- His water isn't dirty, It's just the crappy cell phone quality making the tank look nasty lol)

I feed my fish at the same time everyday and if I'm five minutes late my loaches go mad, they start clicking and swimming up and down the tank like a mad man.:p

Hahaha Wishy gets mad too- He will dart around the tank frantically- Looking for me to feed him. He's very demanding for a fish :D I want to get some Loaches for my daughter once we get a bigger tank- They're beautiful!! But It's so hard to find any stores that carry them around here.

Loaches are great but dont get clown loaches, they get to 1foot long and they are wide, unless your tank is big enough

I've got some Bengal loaches and they are great :D

I think they do. My male in particular. He comes up to me and looks at me and lets me touch him and hand feed him.

Your not mad (unless i am too :hyper:) most of my fish have different personalities including all my bettas, both male and female, no 2 are the same

My Crown-tail Betta is really shy and likes to just wander around the bottom of the tank and wait until the others have had their share of the fish food before it has some it's self. Quite sweet really :)
