Ive tried, Cucumber, Hikari Betta Bio-Gold, Flakes, Wafers. He just wont eat anything!

Should i take him out of my community tank and put him in my 6 gallon, so i can keep a closer eye on him?

One thing with the 6 gallon, i would fill it up about halfway, and there will not be a heater or filter running with it tho.

Edit: oh yeh, he hasnt eaten anything sinse i got him.

how long have u had him for?
have u tried frozen brine shrimp or bloodworms?
my bettas never refused frozen bw b4.

hmm....my betta doesn't seem to wanna stop eating -_-

does he even see the food, maybe hes blind :dunno: .....or not. maybe give him sum time, maybe hes just a lil stressed out from his move from lfs to ur house ;) how long have u had him?

I know about picky eaters. You may want to try all sorts of different foods. I tried frozen bloodworms and brineshrimp. Also, there's a variety pack of frozen treats for tropical fish that I found that my bettas like more than the other community fish... (looks kind of like tuna), but it also includes the bloodworms and brineshrimp. Also, I have a male that only eats flakes and a female that only eats Hikari micro pellets (the bio-gold pellets are too large for her mouth at the moment, but the micro pellets for tropical fish are perfect and all the fish love them). Also, try some daphnia.

Hey!

He didn't even eat the Bio-Gold?! Im out of ideas... :dunno:

You know what problems im having with Arnie too!!lol maybe try peas or something... and definately try the bloodworms! If he doesn't eat those then i dont know... Keep offering him stuff and hope he eats... im sure he will eat eventually rather than starve, he's probably still settling in! :)

Jess

P.S. If he doesn't eat in the next couple of days id put him in the 6 gal, he could be getting stressed out by being in such a big tank with all your other fish!! Dont worry too much tho :)
