i've tried 3 different flakes and brine shrimp  . i've tried leaving it in there for quarter of an hour. i've tried plonking it down infront of him. but the silly thing won't eat.

dixaisy930 , did simon just start eating when he was hungry?

;) He's still probably stressed. Try feeding them some livefood like bloodworm that will certainly raise his appetite, note..don't just feed him this or this will be the only thing he will eat. e.g. if your feeding him twice a day try feeding the livefood 1, and flakes or frozen the seccond. My fish a spoiled and get three types of food a day sometimes mroe like occasionaly brine shrimp as a treat ;)

my boys are spoiled rotten, they get a clump of bloodworm morning and evening ^^ i know they'll get snooty and not eat anything else when i run out, but that's why i'm not running out!

bnahahaha... don't worry, they also get bloodworm flakes on occasion

Try Garlic Drops on their food.............They will love it and it stimulates their appetites. My fish go crazy for it. It's make by Kent Marine and is good for all fish.
When they see me coming with the little bowl that I have pre-treated their food with they go crazy trying to get to the top for their share!! :p :p :p

It took him almost nine days to eat, so don't get discouraged yet. ;) I just kept offering him food, and he finally took it. First he would eat when the food was left in there for a few hours, then he would eat when I just wasn't looking, and now he gets all excited when I walk in the room. :) He's probably just getting acclimated to his new surroundings. As long as he's acting normal otherwise, don't get too worried.

i'll keep feeding him twice a day and just wait til he gets hungry!! :D
