Betta nipping his fins

Ok. It’s very heavily planted. The tank is only 5 gallons so I feel an air stone may be too powerful. Should I “play” with him more?

Lol. Didn’t know fish could be bored. I was thinking of getting some feeder glass shrimp? He can chase them when he gets “bored”?

Yep. That’s why it would be a feeder shrimp not a neo or caridina. They are like 5 for $1.

Yea I’ve seen them at petco for that price. My Lfs has good prices on everything

That's good. My LFS is waaaayyyy more expensive than petco. I gave them my angel because I couldnt keep it and they sold him for over $40.... they sell all of their common Angel's for 30+ and a platy is like $5

HOLY MOLY! My lfs sells small angels for $3.99 and adults(if they have any) for $20. I too have an angel that I want to get rid of. How much did they give you for it?

Nothing! No store credit, nothing. I was so desperate to get rid of it because it started attacking my smaller fish that I just gave it to them. They said it would cost too much to care for blah blah blah no consignment no purchase blah blah..... two days later I went back to see if it was still there, gone and a new price tag "large angelfish: $49" made me mad they couldnt even give me 5 dollars for it. One fish dosent cost that much in care costs

Oh yeah I don't go there anymore lol. Only went once or twice. It's a nasty little store with gross cages, way overcrowded cages with breeding rabbits, mice, rats, hamsters etc and rude owners. I actually just go to Petco, even tho it's a 20 minute drive rather than a 5 minute one. It's a chain pet store, so not the greatest but still way better
