I have a male betta that seems to be swiming around slower than when I got him. HE no longer swims from one end of the tank to the other with much vigor. Mos tof the time he spends lurking around the top of the tank. He doesn't appear to be sick. Is something wrong? :/

Well the last time I said that I thought my betta was just being lazy people responded by saying a healthy betta is alaways swimming around. So it just might be that hes constipated so I would feed him a defrosted pea. Get a second opinion if you can. ;)

Thanks, I'll try

Try changing the water and adding some salt see if this helps...Sometimes they just want some company I would sit another fish beside him for a little while and see what he does..

What is the temperature of your water? I have found that if the water is on the colder side my bettas are not as active. Is the tank heated and/or filtered? What size is the tank? Who is in the tank with him?
