As title really will 6 Cardinals Mix with 1 Male Betta?

it will be risky but if you find the right male and the cardinals dont nip him i don't see why not

people often say a big no-no with tetras but my DT lives with Coplands tetra and several others have before, its down to the male

if you can find one that isn't bothering tankmates in LFS then i'd say ok :)

I really envy people who can keep Bettas and tetras in the same tank! It makes such a beautiful display. I have had some really bad experiences with Bettas and tetras (namely neons and cardinals). I added my old female Betta into the tank with them and instantly they set upon her tail fin, so I couldn't imagine what they'd be like on a male bettas long fins!

By all means try it, make sure the tank is large enough so they aren't forced to swim near to each other 24/7 - but you'll have to be prepared for moving and re-housing them if they nip.

I keep my Rummynoses in with my Betta and they're fine.
