This was pretty hard for me to decide, because I love them all! Anyways, I had to go for crowntail, because I have always loved them, I think it is such a wonderful trait. Just gorgeous!!

Well I voted for the halfmoon, but I equally love the Crowntail, I guess I voted halfmoon since they are more difficult to get.

I chose the common ol' veiltale because I like going for color patterns more then tales so veiltales are fine with me as long as they have nice patterns!

I would have to say crowntail and halfmoon, I love them both equally.

My first ever fish when I was 7 years old was a solid black Crowntail/Halfmoon male called Wolf's Tooth. He was my uncle's fish until he moved into an apartment and couldn't keep the fish anymore.

He was beautiful. He had the crowntail edges but the width of a Halfmoon. He was purebred and cost my uncle $232.


He was amazing. Even when I used to scoop him out of his tank with my hands [now I know better] and accidentally drop him on the floor, he'd keep on ticking.

I had to forgo the vote because I couldn't just pick one. I love them all for each their own qualities..... including the "lowly" veiltail which is what I own.

Even though the two I have are both crowntails I voted half-moon. I've never actually seen one other than in pictures but if I did, it would be mine, oh yes it would be mine.

i voted wild betta cause without those you wouldn't have any others. i've got crown tails and super deltas etc but if i ever got my hands on a pure imbellis or smaragdina it would be my prize fish for sure.

I wish I had pictures.

But five years ago, when I used to live in Alberta, Canada. The house that my parents owned burned down.


Any pictures of Wolf's Tooth were destroyed in the fire, I lost two of my killifish that I had been raising from little babies. Lampeyes. It was REALLY bad.


Wolf's Tooth died of old age, but before my uncle gave him to me, he spawned about four times.

I am not that sure what happened to the fry though?
