does anyone know what the fish looks like in real life or how it would look like? are these being sold photoshopped? bit naughty if they are! incidentally I once bought what I believed was a beautiful young black and steel blue halfmoon only to be sent a raggedy old black/blue crowntail/halfmoon cross, neadless to say I was fuming, the fish looked nothing like the pics (even though the seller insisted it was the same one) but I ended up keeping him anyway, he was a nice fish just not the one I thought I was buying

The dragon CT is photoshopped.  The original fish is a black with red CT and in this thread on the Planted Tank the supposed owner of the fish comments on it as well. And one of the original sale threads with this particular betta is linked in this thread as well.

The purple HM pair are a photoshop as well.  While this article is the same as the one linked by Alasse, the author on this page does give credit to the breeder of the original pair of fish and credit to the person who did the enhancement of this particular picture.

"Purple" is such a suggestive color and is looked at by most everyone a little differently that many bettas although not truly "purple as a single color strain" still outwardly look varying shades of purple.  So yes there are "purple" bettas but when looking at them from a breeding standpoint they are not described as "purple".  Here is another article concerning that particular picture and a genetics discussion about the color itself:

Yes the purple pair listed (1st photo) are shopped, as i stated in the bit before the link, but the single one (3rd photo) on the page i linked is not shopped, it was developed by Mr. Chiawcharn Chaisaeng

this guy is not shopped

It is not uncommon for breeders to enhance the colors of their fish, especially when trying to make a sale. As it stands right now there is no official purple color. Depending on lighting, a blue fish who has red wash will appear to be purple but under other lighting is just a blue.

As for green, again its just a metallic turquoise and depending on light will show different colors.

On the first purple one, scroll down here for the original.
