Hi everyone! I just purchased a white betta from the lfs. Bought a 2.2 gal tank for him. Every time he swims and he faces me he puffs his gills out and looks like a lion. My husband says that he is doing that because he probably sees his own reflection. Is there any other reason why he would be doing this. Do you think he likes it in his new tank? We swiched him from this 1/4 gal tank thing to the bigger one. I checked the Amonia, Nitrate, Nitrite, PH. They all tested very good. All normal. I greatly appreciate anyone's help and information about this.

No worries, that's what bettas do  He probably does see his own reflection or he's just enjoying his new territory and flarin' all over the place

Hehe, they like to do that.

It's cute huh? Sometimes they do it when you feed them. One of mine wont even let me look at him without flaring.
