Betta laying on the substrate

So weirdly enough…. Rem looks to have completely recovered. Other than some water changes I didn’t really do anything? It’s been over a week since she’s returned to normal look wise and behavior wise. I just finished changing her water like 3 minutes ago and she was attacking my fingers with wild abandon (just makes you smile, feeling the little rapid boops to the fingers). And her appetite has more than come back.

I know there are cases of dropsy vanishing and then coming back much worse…. So I’m not getting my hopes up too much. Nor do I know if it was something else all together.

I’m just happy Rem is still alive and looking well for now and I’m gonna enjoy her while I have her.

IT BACK EVEN WORSE. HELP.

She’s clearly pineconeing and now it looks like she has velvet too: she’s got a small patch on her right side and her left fin has a clear dead skin looking substance hanging off of it. She’s not moving her right fin at all and hugging it to her side.

She looks really bad. And this batch progressed a lot fast than it did originally.
