lfs = local fish store (pet store)
The lfs here keeps bettas in individual 'homes', mostly. They have a variety of containers they use to house the bettas they have for sale. Mostly they're different shapes and sizes of fishbowls, most of them approx. .5 gallons each. Personally, I keep my bettas in five gallon tanks or in ten gallon tanks, divided, with the exception of one female who is peaceful enough to live with my guppies.
