So I have a king betta and he hasnt been swimming for about 2 weeks now. He is still alive but just sits in the tank like he is dead. What could be wrong with himm?

Do you have anything to read what the water is? Ammonia, PH, Nitrites, Nitrate and so forth? Do a large waterchange.

Do you have a heater and filter? Both are needed for a betta, Cold temps will make him sluggish.

The water tests fine. Yes it has a heater and filter. He is in a 5 gal tank with a few other fish. I was told by a friend it could be his swim gill maybe?

What is "fine"? What are the other fish? What is the exact temp?
One betta is normally enough for a 5 gal, I'm afraid. :(

I guess I shouldnt say fine. They are all normal. I just have a couple tetras in with the betta. Always have. THe temp is always between 75 and 80 depending how hot it is in my house.

As has been said we need exact water parameters, not normal or fine. Are you using a liquid test kit or strips?
It sounds like you don't have a heater..you should get one. The betta needs a minimum of 78F and a 5g is too small for any tetras, unfortunately.

What is your water change schedule like? What do you feed the betta? How often/how much for both of those.

Can you get a picture of him? Does anything look off about him? Bloated? Is his poo normal?

Hope he perks up soon!

Please try to rehome the tetras.
