Hi

Thanks,

sup!!!! and welcome to the forum and my Betta is happy in his 2L aquarium so yours would be extra happy. except he has no friends in there here is a pic of my betta

15ltr is just over 3 gals, so he would be fine in there. Just make sure it is filtered and heated. You'd probably be looking at doing water changes 2-3 times a week though to keep the ammonia down.

Squiremaster......was 2Ltr a typing error? If not then that is way too small

Im not saying you guys are wrong, But when ever i see these fish in pet shops there in the smallest tanks imaginable. So i dont understand why over the net people insist that you need x amount of space, from what they came from, even 2L would be roomy lol?

LFS use those as the fish can't be kept together without fighting and so they can display them for sale they aren't in the lfs tanks for long
if you look nearlly all tanks in lfs are overstocked , as it's temp housing
i'm hoping no one would keep an arrowana in a 20 litre tank - but in some lfs they are in these for a short time

well yer i know its tempory, but tbh whats saying them fish havnt been there for a few mounth. meaning its not imposibble for them to live in small spaces, and if someone did buy it, and even if they did have a 2L tank. i dont really agree on trowning upon it, because its much better than being sat in them tanks the shops have them in.

You must understand what im tryna say haha.

Well basically it's the difference between surviving and having a quality of life. I'd prefer to see Bettas with enough room to swim around and explore than kept in a cramped little space with no chance of doing what comes naturally.

Yes, of course. Me too. But lets face it, Iv spent £80 over the last two days on stuff, and the tank i bought was 16" x 8" x 8", which is how many gallon?

And i got a filter, food, some plants.. this and that.

It isnt cheap, but a small 2L tanks and that wouldnt be too much i guess. Id rather fish be in them than in the shops...

Because if no one buys them that where they'll be haha

Would and under gravel filter be OK or do I need to get and internal one?

Hi

You can use an under gravel nps. Especially if its the only fish in there. Many people still use ug filters. If you want a little internal filter, Interpet do one called the PF mini. We have 2 of them and they are desisned for 1-9 gallon tanks. Here is a link to one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Interpet-PF-Mini...%3A1|240%3A1318

Craig....I'm disappointed in you :(

In comparasion to what there in at the shops yer... Thats all i was saying.

Bronze, what do you supose i do. I have a 16"x8"x8" tank, Bought to split for 2 fish.

The person im buying the fish off carnt post him till next week so to copmensate, iv got her sending me a free female :)

Now, i could split my tank 3 ways, yer i know its gonan be petty cramp, but it will be heated and filter'ed.

Or i could put one in the bowl i origanally had mine in, un heated, and not filtered.

????????
