Probably me. Yep, they are cheap, you can get tanks about a gallon for £1.35, 3 gallon tanks for £5, a bag of dorset gravel for 79p etc etc.

could i put a 50 w heater in there or is that too big? its the smallest one ive seen..or do they do a 25 w?

Yep. SRC had a thread a week or two ago with several good small heaters on it. They had thermostat controls on them. Walmart also sells a small one, but it has no thermostat on it.

i just bought a 25 watt heater from e-bay its brill, and its only 20cm long. Perfect for small tanks. It was from a dealer called rocketrading and cost £13.50 inc postage. I think hes worth checking out if you want a small heater like that. It also has a thermostat.
