Water change and gravel vac.
Remove black carbon from filter if you use it.
Raise temp to 30.
Add a whitespot medication.
Increase aeratiion as medications, and high temp reduce 02 in the water.

Thanks. I have live plants in there. Will the treatment hurt the plants? I have 3 other tanks where I could move the plants. Would this spread the disease to my other tanks? There are 4-5 snails that came with the plants. Will they be ok with the treatment? I believe they are typical pond snails.

I would check in tropical discussion about the plants, I think it the copper based med that kills plants, but not to sure.
Moving the plants could also spread the whitespot.
You will have to remove the snails before adding the whitespot. medication,

Will the snails spread the disease to my other tanks?

Good question.
Don't think so but the net could. So sterilize the net after use. Place the snail in the another tank by hand.

I use plastic cups so I'll toss the one I used.
