You would need to give more info if you wanted help.
Is the bowl heated, how much water does it hold, anything else with him, is it filtered, do you dechlorinate, how often do you do water changes, any changes in appearance, any spots, frayed fins, what is the temperature of the water, does it fluctuate, tests for ammonia, nitrite and ph, what do you feed, how much and how often.

Im glad hes swimming around again, maybe he was sleeping?

Its a 2Gal, not got a heater as i havent found a small 1 yet, got him yesterday, feeding him flakes, the temp is fine etc, he is now swiming round tank maybe its cuz hes new?.



Could of ben sleeping yeah, Better to ask than leave it and he get sick i suppose.

you really need heating........i found this out with mine.done same as you.........the drop in temp at night time is quite high and this is when there more prone to white spot etc.........

I've sucessfully used a 50 watt heater in my 2.5g with no problems. What is the temp because what seems fine to you could actually be bad for the betta?

THERE IN A DIFFRENT TANK NOW WITH A HEATER THEY ARE FINE.
