Betta Having Trouble Making Bubble Nest

Hey guys

I bought a Betta from a friend that was kept in a little nano tank & moved him to my 24gallon community tank.
Recently I've noticed him trying to make a bubble nest in my tank but the filter is disturbing the water to much for him to complete the job, I'm feel pretty bad for him so is there anyway i could use alittle plastic cup or something to help him out?

half a poly cup works well with nesting Bettas, however in a community a nest is not a good thing as it will make the male more aggressive

Good thing he can't then hes been getting along so well with all the other fish
