Hi everybody,
One of my bettas came down with dropsy. He's in a 3 & 1/2 gallon tank with an UGF (my power filter 10 was a little too much for him)
Ammo. ~ 0
Nitrate ~ 0
pH~ about 7.1
Temp~ 80 F

I added some Pimafix (it was all that I had) and some Bio-coat, what else should I do? :-(
QUICK!!!! :-(

They arent really much you can do with drospy you might try to put a little epson salts in with him and mabey some marycyn 2 or something stronger I cant think of the name.. Karycn I think mabey some one will think of the name and post it for you.. But once its scales start sticking out it is just about too late.. I havent never been able to save one.

I am very sorry to hear that. I unfortunately have never had a fish recover from dropsy. The best thing you can do is make him comfortable. Some AQUARIUM SALT - not table salt or any other kind of salt as it could have other chemicles in it that could futher harm your fish. Maybe to a water change and yeah some meds... the marycin or whatever.

I wish you the best of luck
