Betta Friends

Hi, I've read the thread about Bettas and Guppies - i was wondering, does this apply for female guppies too?

I'd like something else in my tank but dont want to hurt my male betta you see - but the female guppies looked nice, just thought i'd check before doing anything silly.

i have female guppys with my betta and they seem to be fine,dont take my word for it though i think i might have been lucky and i dont know huge ammounts.
