Hello,

It seems like the betta forum is not being looked over pretty much at all. Gadazobe hasn't been active since May, and even though wuvmybetta posts once in a while, I think she's just a busy gal and so doesn't get to moderate the forum very thoroughly. Nasty unnecessary comments have been made without consequence, and a few threads have gotten out of hand. There's one on there now that should have been closed a long time ago. I'd just like to request another moderator. I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem finding a member who is active in the betta forum and who would be a good mod.

Hi lisie

Wuv is an excellent moderator who has considerable experience with bettas and various other fish. Over the years she has done much to help TFF and all the members. She deserves respect and it's not fair of you to openly criticize her in this way.

Please remember that being a moderator is a volunteer position. Wuv, and the rest of us, spend a lot of time here with few thanks. We do not expect any. We just do it because we love our fish and want to see others enjoy this great hobby. But, even a mod needs a little time off once in a while, so give her a break!

If you have a problem, and she is not available, please contact one of the other mods. If you send me a PM and explain what is wrong, I'll be happy to look at the thread.

I'm not criticizing wuv at all. I agree that she is a great moderator. I'm just saying that it doesn't look like she's on that much. Maybe she is and she just reads over everything and doesn't post that much. If that's the case, then nevermind this thread. I'm just saying that if she isn't on here that much, because she's busy with her life outside of TFF, then maybe there should be another mod-- not replacing wuv, but just helping her out.

I'm here on a daily basis. I at least pop in to check my PM's. I can only know of problems that I see, and of course those that are reported

So which mod/s exactly does it send it to? While the mod list has been cleaned up a bit (from what I've seen), most listed mods are still not active very often, and there's no guarentee that a mod will be online when a problem arises.

I'm a mod on another chatroom and when a post is reported every mod gets the message and an email to there private address its likely at least one mod will be on at any given time to sort a problem

Every moderator, as far as I know.

Looking at the mod list, every mod has been active today, with the exception of Steelhealr who was active less then 2 days ago, and Juan. Which is understandable. So chances are, some mod will get it pretty soon. If no one is online when it's sent, we'll get it when we log back in.

I do notice that very seldom do I see a mod online when I'm on, every day I get on here and look in pretty much every forum and constantly check the users online bar to see if any of my friends are online and once in a blue moon(or blue username) I'll see a username in blue. IMO mods should be plentiful with at least 2 on at any given moment. I love this forum but sometimes it seems like we need a mod to be ready to help at all times and they just arent. I wouldnt mind a moding position considering I get on here every single day...

Keep in mind, some of us go anonymous. I know I usually do, and I know of at least 3 other mods that do that too. That may be a reason you don't see many blue names, when in fact, we are on. And we usually get to reported threads pretty quickly, so make use of the report button!

Whether to add more mods or not is ultimately William's decision.

I understand that you mods are people too and you have lives but most of the time I needed a mod when I first joined the forum wasnt because I had a problem with something someones put on a thread its that I had a question to ask that noone except for the mods could answer.

Well, you can always feel free to PM me if you have a question, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Same goes for anyone. Though you may not want to PM me for a few weeks, as I'll be away and definitely won't respond quickly! I'm sure the other mods wouldn't mind questions though.

Well now that I'm established in the forum I think I can hold my own as far as that goes but I'm simply posting on the behalf of the dozens of new members every week that really dont have anywhere to turn except for the mods.
