hello! well....i ordered 2 bettas today, so hopefully they'll be shipped soon, that i'll put in a mini bow 5 gallon, yes, with a divider, and 2 corys each space. or maybe one in each, my question is, what is the best food for them?

hikari bio-gold pellets and hikari blood worms is what i feed mine. occasionally they get some hikari micro pellets and a few marineland bio-blend pellets (which are too big for some of my bettas-i dont recommend it) just to mix things up.

Only 5 gallon for 2 betta's and 4 cory's?
Don't you think that's a tight squeeze?

Cory's like the company of several members of there own species and to put only 2 of them together..... :/

Food: frozen or live foods (bloodworms, artemia etc)

Hikari Betta Bio Gold is the best...I don't really like the HBH Betta Bites...it seems to give them swim bladder more than the Bio Gold...when I used the Bio Gold I never had a problem with it and they all seem to like it...the only drawback is if you get a really young betta you might need to crush them because sometimes little bettas have a hard time eating the pellets...

i decided to put 2, one in each side.....i know they like to school
i read about Dwarfs Corys, who only grow up to 1 inch each? is that correct?

thnx for the food suggs.

Yes, dwarf cory's are small but they like to swim. They are much more active swimmers than other cory species. So they need more space than the half of a 5 gallon bowl.
If you know they like to school, then why do you still want to put only 2 together?

If you're good about tank cleaning, I think that sounds likee a reasonable stocking plan. Cories ideally like to be in bigger groups, but as long as they have a buddy, they're usually pretty happy.

As far as food for bettas, mine thrive on betta bites (or any good quality betta pellet) and frozen bloodworms, with a little flake, brine shrimp and the occasional pea, just to keep things interesting.
