I'm moving my betta to a 10g and I want to add some neons (probably 8). But when I did a google search, some sites say that they're okay together and others say that the betta will try to eat the neons, or that the neons will nip the betta's fins :S. I don't know what to believe, so I need some advice. Are they okay together or should I just keep my betta alone? ????

If I can't get the neons, I'll probably get an opaque divider and another betta, but I thought my betta would appreciate the extra 5 gallons to swim around in...

I have this set up. I have 6 neons wit. My
betta in a 10 gal. It's a great combo do it.

No way a male betta could catch neons, however I mixed a female betta and neons and she definitely tried to eat them. Killed several in the process.

Oh, that's great news! Thanks so much for the quick replies. :D

i think with a large enough shoal which your planned one is, in therory it should be fine, but just be aware that some males won't live with anything else
