I have a male betta in a 12 gallon tank, and I missed a water change because I was moving, and I had some plants die, so when I moved a did a huge change to transport the tank, but I noticed his fins were "splitting". Then I found online that someone preferred Jungle's Fungus clear....and since I had it on hand, I treated tank with one tablet, and then he stopped swimming. THen, the package said to do a 25% change and re-treat after 4 days...thats what I did because he only had one of the "splits" left. After the second 4 days I did a 50% water change. He was only coming up for air, and not swimming around the top like usual. He was just laying on the floor and wasnt eating. I however dropped some betta pellets in front of him and he ate one one day, and a couple another. Now, it's been 2 days after Today I did the same thing, and he was eating pretty well (but still on the bottom laying there), but he was going for food he dropped on the gravel so he's hungry and seems better. THere is still one long "piece" left that didnt fall off, and it "seems" to have stopped the fin rot. Anything I could do? Or just keep the water clean and monitor him? Just wanna make sure he's ok and all!
