Hi everyone

I bought a Dragon PK from UK seller which I won't name(Because of his pure lack of skill to take care of or ship Betta) that arrived yesturday in a BAD WAY, It barely swims just stays at bottom of tank, Won't east tried BW and BS, Has no reaction to food or light....
It stuggles to come up for air.
Dunno what to do to cheer him up. He's barely moved all night I been sat up with him.
Main reason for this is that the seller sent him by 1st class and he arrived 2 days later, the water was elss then 1 inch in bag so fish was on his side and the temp in bag was 60F!!

Somone please help

deff won't be buying from this seller again thats for sure

If you can Leeds..add some Aquarium salt to his tank, that should help him with his gill function. Salt will add essential electrolytes your fish will need to reach peak coloration and vitality. You can add it when doing water changes. :D

He has been chilled, so it will take a while for him to recover.
Very slowly raise the temperature to a more acceptable level and then up to 80f. Give him time to come round as he has been through a lot in two days.
As for the seller, get in touch and tell him/her your concern and hopefully they wont send bettas out in winter again without heat packs.

He is more susceptible to bacterial infections when stressed so keep his tank dark and leave him alone.

Let us know how he does, he looks lovely anyway.

Got his tank all coverd in towels with a gap in top for air of course hehe
got some Almond Leafs in too for the healing properties, And yes he has some salt wind ^^ I remeber you telling me that one

I hope its just shock I got his temp to 80F last night
a nice long 12 hours of slowing adding it up

I just hope he pulls through

I hope he will be ok. When I got my male the heat pack had failed so he was really cold, after a few days he really perked up.

,aybe it would be better to tell us the name of the seller. Then we know to stay away from him :(

Oh dear, oh dear, that doesn't sound good at all. Sounds like you have done everything you can for him. Lets hope he perks up soon :D

I've had a package arrive before normal first class post and single bags, one of them was leaking :/

When I send fish I always heat seal and double bag, place in a polystyrene lined strudy box, filling in any gaps with scrunched up newspaper so the fish don't roll around. I add the destination address and my return address in a sealed bag also in case labels outside get damaged. I then wrap in brown paper, securing down any ends well with tape. Most importantly I ALWAYS send by trackable means next day delivery guaranteed by 1pm. In this weather I also use heatpacks which I make sure are activated before sealing package.

Delivery is stressful for fish but if done correctly hopefully these stresses can be minimised

I saw on another forum you naming and shaming, I dont really think it was fair, my girls are from that person and are fine. Let them deal with it or not before you go naming someone.

:/ how is the fish? think the person should be named...we all make mistakes...but at least it will make them more careful...imagine how stressed that poor fish must be!

Zoe I have spoke to 8 other people who all have had same problem!
The person will be named unless he sorts this out which at moment he has no intension to!
I have more then enough ppl will to post pics aswell as infomation about him!
I have pics of the postage, box, water tests!!! So don't start Zoe

Also liz he isn't doing too good I had him checked and the lump on his side(ya can see in pic) is like a ulcer seems infected was told it's been like this for atleast 2-3 weeks but the seller did admit he didn't give it proper care as it was no use for breeding to him,
He's on Salt and Melafix at moment to control infection keeping him at 80f and in low lighting
will keep you updated on how he is.

She's not starting anything, its just her own experience with the breeder. It could've been an accident or something happened during the time it was being shipped. You can't blame the breeder for every mistake made. He could've been doing everything right so maybe it took longer than expected to arrive to you so your male started to fade away. Just my 2 cents :/

Id be interested to know the seller as most of the top Betta breeders in the country are on another forum i frequent. It would be interesting to see if they know the company.
