Sorry to hear about the DOA he was a stunning fish! Glad to hear your not completely disheartened with it! I hope you do manage to find another similar one, although you can never replace such a nice fish!

only problem animation is not much air can get in so your betta may drown (i know sounds weird lol) i recently found some bags that where oxygen penetrable so oxygen could get in and CO2 out

Unless you're using those new breather bags, no air can get in anyway, so putting the bag in a flask isn't going to matter in that respect. In my opinion the breather bags aren't worth the extra cash they cost unless the fish is going on a looooong journey, you can easily just trap enough air in a normal bag to last them a while.

Interbettas should have a DOA policy... definitely still email him. And ALWAYS ask for a heat pack. There are tons of nice fish out there though. Hang in there.

sorry about your fishy....whereabouts did he come from? it has been trying to snow here today..realy really cold..things happen...I dont think I would dare get a fish through the post!

he came from thailand to engalnd,
It was freezing cold but not when i asked him to be sent.
I know he is ireplaceble but just hope in the future there is one that looks simular!
