I in the process of stocking my tank and was wondering would a male Betta get on with a pair of Rams? :dunno: I'm going to get a pair of Rams but my girlfriend would like to get a Betta as well. I thought I would ask before possibly making a big mistake.

Not sure about a male Betta they are best kept alone in a small tank really. I keep 3 female Bettas in my tank which, amongst other things, has 2 Rams. If your girlfriend wants a male Betta she could keep one in an Eclipse setup on its own - Bettaman has a sale at the moment.

Hagan Eclipse coldwater tanks, Eclipse 2 is 11 litre (2.5 uk gall) Eclipse 3 is 19 litre, about 3.5 gallons. They come with gravel, filter, etc. you just need to add a small heater. A single male Betta will live quite happily in one.
Lots of info on keeping Bettas on the Betta section of this forum.
Bettaman posts on the Betta section, his website is K G Bettas, he breeds and imports lovely Bettas.
Hope that helps!
