I have just seen this really nice Betta. I really would like to buy him. Problem is i have 2 small parrott fish in my tank. Would these attack the male Betta?. I asked at the pet store but after looking through a book, they could not give me an answer.

thanks

I would not chance it,

The parrot will eat the Betta. Too Many Long Fins

I agree, if I put a flaring betta in my parrots tank, she'd tear the betta's fins off. -_-

o yea, the parrot would gobble up that betta like it was flacke food -_- dont chance it. if u rely want it juts buy a 1g bowl ;)

hmmm

I have a plastic tank, not sure if i can put a heater in there though....

well do u have a room in your home that stays between 75-80 degrees? somewhere warm like ontop ut fridge or near a heater would be great. im currently useing a heating pad under my male's bowl. it work great as well

I have an Uncle-inlaw, that owned a lfs and recently gave me my first betta. I asked him the same question (can i get a parrotfish to add to my tank) and his reply was different from a lot of post on here. Bettas are agressive if you add fish to there environment, because they are "last fish" community fish. Meaning "most" of the time, everyfish is different, you can take the betta out for a day or two and add the fish to the tank, then return the betta to the tank last. A slight hair cut might occur for the betta, but the community will be fine in a day or even hours given enough seperation and hiding spots. Every betta he has which is alot is paired with other fish in more than a dozen household tanks. :D
