Betta Alone?

Heya all
I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what/where I could put my male betta?
This may sound like a daft question so ill explain myself.
I have my betta in my 30l tank with some danios, neons and 1 paradise fish, however I suspect he may be taking his midnight munchies out on my other fishes tails, So I was advised to separate him, now heres my problem,
I still live at home an so only have 1 room I can keep my fish in (bedroom) its quite small and its taken years and years of begging to be allowed my 1 fish tank so another full size tank is out of the question, but on most of the pictures I see the bettas all seem to be in very small jars? What would be the smallest size jar? tank? Bowl? I could keep him in and Would it have to have a heater? filter? How many times would I have to do water changes a week? Im sure a small bowl may go unoticed by my mum ( I cant wait to get my own house its gunna be wall to wall fish tanks! )
Im sorry theres a lot of questions there(I must seem dead numb! ) but if anyone can give me some help I would be very gratefull

Just get a tank divider and give him his own space and yet he can still see everyone. That way it's filtered, heated, and you don't need to get another tank to save space.

Sorry I forgot to put its a biorb, so its round, will one still fit in?

You may have to cut down the divider to make it fit the round tank. So that's like..8 gallons or something? Im not sure, I used a weird converter to change it from liters to gallons. You could probably get a high-sided bowl and make some sort of lid to keep it in. You wouldn't need a filter as long as wherever your keeping it is warm and the temperature doesn't change drastically. You could also buy a small electric heating pad to keep it warm. I would do 15-20% water changes twice a week.

I know you didn't ask this or anything, but danios need to be in a tank over 10 gallons or so I've heard.

get a breeding tank that floats. You can pop that in the top of your main tank for him.

Forever? Will it not matter that he cant swim to the bottom or hide? Another tail has gone will try anything at mo, going to lfs tomorow will see what they got. Thanks for reply.

I keep my bettas in individual 2 gallon hex tanks. They are big enough that each little guy has an ornament cave and a small silk plant. They don't however take up a lot of room and they come with UGF, airstone and small air pump. I've also seen them in a 1 gallon size. Use of the filtration option is optional as long as you do regular water changes.
