I have a large split tank in the front room. Usually have 2 male bettas in..one died so I decided to move a betta from the kitchen into the split tank. The betta I was moving had been in a smaller split tank with 3 small black tropical someone gave me. Perfectly happy in the tank with the black ones. I moved him last night and he has done nothing but hide. He wouldnt come out even for bloodworms, can he sense another betta is on the other side of the split? I have now removed him back to his old house in the kitchen. He has been there for 30 minutes swimming about ate some flake food (not usually his fave) and is really contented. Husband reckons he could tell there was another male there.
