beta in a vases

Well, it is good to have opinions on both sides. I am leaning to the it is not a good thing side, but Sorell and SRC have me thinking.

I was half thinking of something like this for my own wedding (someday, hehe). I do see everyone's point; one at each table, small vase, loudness, etc. but I think it can be done "right" too.

Like I think 1 or 2 bettas in nice sized bowls would be alright, perhaps at the bride's table or something. I don't think I could handle 1 at each table, I'd probably be paying more attention to each one of them than anything else. ;)

I guess it all depends on the environment they will be in, and how well she is planning to take CARE of these fish during their stay, and of course where they will be going afterwards. If you can't talk her out of the idea completely, suggest 1 or 2.

If you think about it..if you are worried about noise. What happens to a betta that lives in a household with 3 small children...cas we all knwo they are NEVER quiet lol.

I think it'd be cute to give them away to the kids afterwards, I personally think they'd far way better then sitting on a shelf unattended at wal-mart somewhere. And it's much better then those bags of rice..which DO cause problems...with the local wildlife (birds) and such.
Hmm.. I think I've said this before, but :p to you. You are kinda right, it is mean, but surely it is a little bit better to give away a betta than a goldfish. I know bettas need heaters but what with the central heated houses we've got now.... And considering a betta is the only fish that can really live in a bowl.... I do much prefer corykitty's though :)
