Hi,

I have a 6yr old ginger tom who is very much an outdoor cat. We live in the country and so he loves going outside and often returns with gifts of birds, shrews etc.
I have tried loads of different worming methods but am not sure how effective they are.
I wanted to know if there are any ones that you swear by.
Don't always trust advice by vets as they always seem to be linked to a company and pushing their products.
I am sure this is not true with all vets but my local surgery has never impressed me that much.

I am not sure that he definitely has worms or if he just looks skinnier as he always develops a really thick winter coat and I go through this paranoia every year when he loses it again.

However he is definitely due to be wormed as I last wormed him in february.

Sorry for the long post all I really need to know is what do you use and is it any good?

Thanx.

Hi

I always but my cat products from a website called pets megastore

You can get all the products you would normally get from your vet but even though it is shipped from Oz its is still cheaper than buying it from a vet over here. With regards to which worm treatment i use, i swear by Drontal, we dose regularly and never seen any evidence of worms.

Thank you, site seems very good.
Drontal was the one I was thinking of trying and now you've recommended it I shall definitely give it a go.

Thanx for replying.

Drontal all the way without a doubt - but only available on prescription.

My Mum Has Always Johnsons Worming Tablets and Never had any Problems with it.

Ginger is Nearly 27

Drontal available from www.furrypharm.co.uk only £3.30 and £0.35 P&P. No prescription necessary.

Hey that's fab ! Thanks for letting us know. The classification must have changed.
