I'd start with the fish species index here at TFF. It's peer-reviewed, in a sense, which is a lot more than most sites can say.

I don't remember asking for any smart #### replies.
I have already tried google (obviously) and was just asking for some websites which experienced users know well, and could recommend.
In the topic i quite clearly stated that i was asking for the 'best' websites. Not just any one of the 60 million pages google throws at me.

It's people like you that mean there are still so many newbies who refuse to listen to experienced peoples advice; when you get stupid answers from people like yourself it makes you wonder.

I agree with both the previous answers.i usually use the Species index here and google.You pick up different info on different sites,so i find google invaluable.

I don't think the previous poster was being a smartarse,or that it was a stupid answer...he was just trying to help!!!!
