Best way to heat a fish room

Cory the aquarium co op kid does three very good one hour you tube talks on the business side of breeding fish.
Basically he advises to start doing it from the tanks you already have before Investing in fish rooms etc. Breed fish and snails and shrimps and plants etc in EVERY tank you already own if possible to monetarise what you’re already doing first.

As previously mentioned, if the room is well insulated it is likely more economical to heat the room rather than have heaters in every tank. Now many fish handle 'room' temperature just fine, so maybe the room is at 70-75 and some tanks have heaters for higher temps?

As I documented in my article 'One Thing Led to Another', in my adhoc setup I have several setups (aquariums, stock tank, and pond) in my unheated basement (about 55°F in winter). They're sortof in a corner of the basement and the basement is not insulated. I have heaters in the tanks, but all of the tanks are insulated. The aquariums are insulated with styrofoam around the back and sides and the stock tank and sump are double wrapped with carpet padding acting like a koosie. But I currently breed, grow out, and sell Swordtails and like many other tropical fish, they easily tolerate cooler temperatures. Master Breeder Greg Sage (Select Aquatics of Erie Co.) has written an excellent article on Setting Up a Fishroom that's worth a read for serious fishkeepers/breeders. :)
